Greenpoint Seeds Review

Greenpoint Seeds – Are you looking for decently chucked cannabis genetics? Greenpoint Seeds has a medium-sized selection of cannabis seeds created by chucking the genetics of already famous strains from other breeders and then crossing them with different existing popular strains. The Greenpoint Seeds seed bank is US-based, and they ship all of their seeds from their warehouse in Colorado, USA. Their new main headquarters is in Winter Park, Florida, USA.

If You Care At All About The Breeders Who Spend Years Creating Their Strains, You Should Move On To Another Seed Bank. This Seed Bank Is A “Chucker” Seed Bank. Greenpoint Seeds Crosses Strains From Other Breeders (Without Permission Or Cutting Them In) And Sells Them At An Inflated Price. As A Result, The Breeders Responsible For The Actual Work Put Into The Genetics Of All Seeds Sold By GPS Are Never Paid (Or Even Given Credit In Most Cases). We Asked A Handful Of Breeders If They Knew Their Strains Were Being Used And To Our Surprise Many Of The Breeders Didn’t Even Know What Was Going On. The Rest Of The Breeders We Talked To Knew What Was Going On And Three Stated “This Has Been Happening For Years”.

Before reviewing Greenpoint a few years ago, Seed Bank Magazine talked to a number of their customers who volunteered to tell us about their experiences with Greenpoint Seed Bank before we were notified about how they made their seeds. Since then, we have interviewed three ex-employees, listened to over three hours of recorded audio, read three contracts, and read through around fifty leaked emails between the owner, customers, and their employees. Things have changed so much since the original review that we thought it was our duty to rewrite it correctly to reflect their real status. We know this will make us unpopular, but people need to know the truth.

Greenpoint Seeds Hermie Problems
Greenpoint Seeds Nanner Issues

We immediately noticed something was off-balance when we revisited those same customers two years later and asked them if they felt any different about Greenpoint now that they have grown out their seeds and been a customer for a while. Out of the forty-two customers we interviewed two years ago, there were now over two-thirds of these customers who’d changed their views on this cannabis seed bank since our last chat.

Some Accusations Made By Customers:

  • Annoying emails and marketing techniques.
  • SMS messages they had never signed up for.
  • Reusing mailing lists from their other business.
  • Lots of hermies in their newer feminized lineup (29 out of 42 customers).
  • Using genetics without permission from the original breeders.
  • Overpriced “tester-packs” (upwards of $100 a pack). We thought tester-packs were supposed to be free?.
  • One of the customers complained about the changing of the business logo and how it made it hard for them to find which strains belonging to Greenpoint when doing image searches.
  • The new logo was too generic (the letter”G” in some swirly font).
  • A few people complained of the new website design updates (September 2021), and more than five complained that the new logo made them think of an Italian restaurant (there’s no way that’s just a coincidence).

The owner of Greenpoint Seeds and Fortuna Hemp (Gualdi LLC) is no longer “Gu”. According to public record, he recently transferred the ownership of his businesses to his wife and now she is the owner. If you know why, please fill out a Whistleblower or Article Support Form (please note, these forms must be digitally signed).

Was this just a weird coincidence, or did this seed bank intentionally redo their logo to start marketing to Italian food lovers?

Dr. Dave B. – Former Greenpoint Seeds Customer

We (at SBM) have also had an influx of complaints about us showcasing this seed bank on SBM because of the way they procure strains and chuck them (rather than actually breeding them). We had over 20 complaints from the Native American community about GPS using the name “Sitting Bull” as one of their strain names and how they felt the owner didn’t care that Greenpoint was profiting off of the name. Growing any plant is hard work, and even if you are growing a strain from another breeder and crossing it with the genetics of another popular strain, it is still hard work. We can only assume some of these complaints were from a long track record of chucking pollen from already famous genetics with strains of already popular genetics. We had thought Greenpoint Seeds was only doing this with Stardawg and its regular seeds way back when. Apparently, (according to a previous employee’s statement) “they now don’t even use original strain images for their strains” (Ex-Employee #1, 2021). “If you look closely at the end of each page, you can see the photo credits, and if you follow the trail, you will end up with a picture taken from someone on Instagram of the mother plant. So what you see in the photos is not actually from the seeds sold.”

Cannabis Seed Pricing

Next comes the pricing. The pricing structure for a seed bank that doesn’t actually create its own strains is hugely off. “The breeders who make the strains that Greenpoint uses in their crosses don’t charge this much” (Ex-Employee #1, 2021). At least they have more options now. We couldn’t figure out why they didn’t do this long ago until we spoke with an ex-employee and they told us that other employees had tried to push for smaller and single quantities for years, but the owner thought it would “be a pain”(Ex-Employee #2, 2021). Of course, it is going to be a pain to sell in smaller quantities. If you had to breed the strains yourself, you would really be working hard. At the same time, the pricing structure for the smaller quantities is ridiculous! Whoever came up with those prices needs to go back to school for some marketing 101.

Do you ever wonder why you ain’t never see Greenpoint Seeds at ANY events? They went to one event when they first came about and they was ran off by some of the breeders!

E.M. – Cannabis Seeds Enthuasiast (Florida)

GPS is not a traditional seed bank that carries many different breeders, but they play on the same field as all of the other US-based seed banks, primarily thanks to one man who helped them through their darkest and most challenging times.

NOTICE: All employee, ex-employee, and customer statements/complaints were all recorded with their permission. This means we will not change this article, and nobody cannot sue us for its content. Seed Bank Magazine has no official thoughts on this matter and we are only helping others practice their 1st amendment rights, and supplying a space for them to do so. These statements are only viewable by SBM. In some cases, court hearings will warrant these statements to be made available to the judge only, but nobody else.

The only important updates we saw were that they now sell feminized cannabis seeds and auto-flowering seeds. We just updated this review on September 29th, 2021.

Stardawg Strains Galore!

Greenpoint Seeds Stardawg – Verified Reviews

Greenpoint Seeds is well-known for using JJ-NYC’s Stardawg to cross with other popular strains. The Stardawg stuff that Greenpoint uses blesses everything it touches. GPS stopped selling Stardawg BX’s (back-crosses) after JJ-NYC made an announcement about Stardawg in an interview with High Times, but we have recently seen Stardawg BX’s popping up on their website. In this interview, JJ said that he was okay with breeders crossing his award-winning strain as long as they didn’t back-cross and sell Stardawg by itself as “Stardawg.” Greenpoint Seeds still sells Star Dawg BX cannabis seeds every once in a while without JJ noticing (Customers #4,#31, 2021).

Colorado Seed Bank?

Florida-Based, Outsourced Seeds, with a Warehouse in Colorado

Greenpoint is home to one of the most sought-after Stardawg males. In Florida though? Gu’s Stardawg Male is hung like a horse and improves on any strain it’s crossed with! The “Wild West Series” was noteworthy because the owner was actually trying to create custom strains from Stardawg. So even though he was using someone else’s genetics, at least he was improving on the strains and continued this for years. Nowadays, GPS consists of one popular strain crossed with another, no testing at all, lots of replacements, paid tester packs once a year, the same marketing tactics every week from the previous year, and annoying ads. And they brought back the Reverse Auctions to make up for their recent losses.

Social media presence has improved some, but they are using outdated marketing techniques that are no longer feasible for the current year.

If you have no morals and no respect for the actual breeders that create the strains Greenpoint Seeds uses without permission, then just be sure to NEVER BUY SEEDS FROM GREENPOINT SEEDS ON A WEEKDAY. They have sales every weekend. The same ones every week, every year.

B.W. – Greenpoint Seeds Customer

Apparently, they have everyone working as independent contractors (on IRS 1099’s), which is not legal. Most of the employees (Employee #1, Ex-Employee #3, 2021) are claiming they were unaware they’d have to pay taxes as an independent contractor and thought taxes were being taken out of every check. They just found out that this wasn’t the case and are now going to be stuck with substantial back taxes. They were told they were paid as “salary” employees, which is not something independent contractors get. Let’s see what our friend and corporate internet legal advisor Mr. Schwartz has to say on the matter:

The only way to get out of this legal hole they dug themselves into is to pray. Get a contract made up and somehow get people they fired to promise to not say anything? Actually, a Non-Disparagement with a severance clause will do the trick in most cases and should have been the first piece of paper you had them sign. The IRS says: “If you classify an employee as an independent contractor and you have no reasonable basis for doing so, then you will be held liable for employment taxes for that worker”. A “reasonable basis” and “may be held liable” does not apply in the scenarios discussed in this article. Meaning, they would be responsible.

Single-Breeder Seed Bank

Are Chucker Seed Banks Ever Single-Breeder Based?

Greenpoint has been known to carry different independent cannabis seed breeders from time to time. These breeders have included Secret Society Seed Company, Cult Classics Seeds, Dungeons Vault Genetics, Cannaventure Seeds, and Oni Seed Company. Lately, they have been selling their own chucked seeds and branding them as Greenpoint Seeds. Nobody seems to care about their seeds being chucked, but you might care to know that their breeding has been outsourced to someone else and the owner no longer chucks the seeds himself.

Website Review

New Seed Bank Web Design

We loved the design of their website up until recently. Their Diet Dank website (before it was shut down without notice) was one of the best-looking cannabis industry websites we had come across in 2021. It used to flow very well. This theme had a lot of meticulous planning behind it, and it utilized many of the website Fengshui elements of Apple design. Greenpoint Seeds was built upon WordPress and WooCommerce. The new design doesn’t have that “mom and popps” feeling like the old theme had. And there are way too many choices in the menus. The website no longer has that personal feeling and it looks like every other seed bank does. The features that were offered have been diminished and you can see that they got rid of more than half of the cool and flashy features their website used to boast. Things that would have never been missed (like typos) are now too common on this website.

Seed Bank Security

Their new IP address is no longer protected (as of 10/28/2021) but still uses Cloudflare. WordPress is our favorite fit for seed banks. Read more about seed bank platforms here. As of April 1st, 2022, the GPS IP address is still fully unprotected.

In December of 2021, a cloned website went up that was an exact copy of the Greenpoint Seeds website. How dod this happen? Who knows. The scariest part was that we were able to login to our account on this cloned website. So that means that everyones private info was also cloned. The website had a note from a hacker on it explaining who he was in a cynical manner. The website was obviously a fake and the hacker had somehow hacked the GPS website and downloaded a copy of everything (including all the customer data). The website disappeared in February of 2022 and we traced the sale of the clone to a buyer in Oregon through the Dark Web. So someone bought up all the customer data and everything else that was leaked.

Back to the original review:

They offer many payment options, including credit cards, debit cards, Bitcoin, ACH, check, and money orders.

“JJ-NYC has been working on perfecting Stardawg for a long time and Greenpoint Seeds has one of the best Stardawg studs around from JJ.”

From the Dakota/Lakota Nation

Greenpoint Seeds has used our ancestors name “Sitting Bull” for monetary gain. Not only have they perverted out faith by using our ancestors to make money, they are not of Native descent and they use other Native American names and lingo to promote their business. We are seeking to have all the money made using our ancestors names returned to us. We were once under the impression that this number was close to $100,000, but we think it could be much more. No matter the case, Greenpoint Seeds did not have permission to use the name Sitting Bull to market and promote their business. Sitting Bull is legally protected and a sacred name used by the Lakota people. We do not use other religions God’s and ancestors to profit for ourselves and we expect others to do the same. We are looking for employees or anyone with knowledge of Greenpoint Seeds financials to please come forward and help us figure out exactly how much money was made using the Sacred name “Sitting Bull”. If you or someone you know has any information about Greenpoint’s sales records pertaining to Sitting Bull Seeds sales, please contact me at [email protected] We will have a public petition up within the following week. We urge you to sign it. We have been hushed and moved to the side concerning this matter for far too long. When we brought this to the attention of Greenpoint Seeds owner, his answer was “we don’t sell those seeds no more”. He was rude and extremely disrespectful of our beliefs and traditions. No apology, no offer to return the funds to our people. No nothing. We withdrew our concerns before, but we have decided to move forward. This is unjust racist, and a forbidden practice to use Sitting Bull’s name for your cannabis seeds. It is the same as someone you don’t know using your ancestors pictures to line their toilet paper. Offensive. Please sign our petition to have Greenpoint Seeds return all the money they procured using the Sitting Bull name back to the Lakota people.

Cookies N' Chem Cannabis Seeds - Cookies N' Cream X Stardawg | Greenpoint Seeds
Cookies N’ Chem Cannabis Seeds – Cookies N’ Cream X Stardawg | Greenpoint Seeds

Cookies N Chem – You now have a chance to grow some of the best marijuana ever. Cookies N Chem is very colorful and matches its appearance with potency (testing at 30% THC); this is possibly the most famous Greenpoint’s most popular product ever! Like many other favorite strains, this one has an origin story worthy of a comic book. One pack of Starfighter was purchased at auction for $6,000. A male from this package was selected by Exotic Genetix and consequently was used to pollinate a Girl Scout Cookies plant, creating Cookies N Cream, which won the High Times Cannabis Cup in 2014. We purchased some of these seeds before they won the award in 2014. 11 Cookies N Cream females were a good size pool to start the selection. I chose a plant that retained the nose of the Girl Scout Cookies and the insane trichome production of the Starfighter.  How to improve on this near-perfect lady? Hit her with Stardawg pollen, of course!

Copper Chem Cannabis Seeds - Chem 4 X Stardawg | Greenpoint Seeds
Copper Chem Cannabis Seeds – Chem 4 X Stardawg | Greenpoint Seeds

Copper Chem – Chem 4 x JJ’s Stardawg Cannabis Seeds – Copper Chem is incredible whether you’re a seasoned breeder or a casual grower. This cannabis strain is the apex of Chemdog and Stardawg strains. These genetics show good stability and produce uniform cannabis plants with nuances in floral structure and aroma. The Chem 4 genetics dominate the lineage, making her reek of sour nail polish remover with metallic notes of copper and tin. Expect lighter notes of lemon peel, acetone, and pine sol. A significant number of phenotypes resemble the Chem D strain as well. These Chem D phenos will have strong notes of body odor, baby poop, skunk, and motor oil. These seeds produce some of the most beautiful plants and are an elegant balance between the two Chem plants. Look for the mingling of all the best aromas associated with the Chemdog line. Luckily, these plants do not need to be extensively searched for, and several winners will likely be found in every pack of seeds.

Ghost Town Cannabis Seeds - Ghost OG Kush X Stardawg | Greenpoint Seeds
Ghost Town Cannabis Seeds – Ghost OG Kush X Stardawg | Greenpoint Seeds

Ghost OG is a unique phenotype of OG Kush. She is highly sought after for her perfectly balanced high. Ghost OG Kush is often described as both potent and non-intrusive at the same time. Ghost OG has won herself many awards throughout the years and is a renowned strain among consumers and growers alike. Her strong citrus smell and crystal-covered buds hint at this strain’s extremely potent genetics. This particular cut is thought by many to be the mother of all OG Kush strains. Ghost OG first appeared in the OverGrow.com forums (one of the first cannabis forums). The Ghost OG Kush cut came from an Over Grow member named ORGNKID. ORGNKID sold an O.G. cut to an OverGrow forum member called “Ghost” who further distributed the cut to others. Nobody knows the exact genetics of the strain, but it is believed to be initiated from the Kush Mountains in Afghanistan and Pakistan. A true Kush strain.

Recent Updates

Chuckers Paradise

Be careful not to be fooled by their (Greenpoint’s) forum. What forum? The Chuckers Paradise Forum which is half-owned by Greenpoint Seeds. Be weary of any information or reviews on this website about Greenpoint Seeds. In addition, the founder and other half owner of Chuckers Paradise is the breeder for Greenpoint Seeds. The forum is nice, I just wouldn’t trust anything it says about Greenpoint Seeds on it (03/16/2022).

The hacked clone has reappeared and this time has more recent accounts on it. An employee whom had recently created an account a week ago (in early March, 2022) was able to login on this new fake clone that appeared in mid-March 2022. The new fake website has a note on it with information on how to have the website taken down and a Bitcoin address foe payment. This means that anyone with an account on the GPS website has now had their information stolen. Nobody seems to care though (04/01/2022).

We have received the case file that it going to be submitted to the IRS in a couple of months. The case for misclassification is going to end in GPS paying back-taxes for up to 7 years (03/21/2022).

Seed Bank Magazine Review for Greenpoint Seeds

Greenpoint Seeds has a small but powerful selection of chucked Stardawg crosses. The prices are high for chucked seeds. Never buy seeds during the week. Wait until the weekends when they have their weekly sales. You can get packs of seeds cheaper on the weekends. These Reverse Auctions are gone. Sometimes it can take a few days to get a reply back from them. There have been a lot of complaints recently about how Greenpoint Seeds treats its employees (including hostile work environments). Almost everyone working there was replaced by a family member. We were told that their plans are to phase everyone out and replace the whole operation with family. Which is great for their family, but not for the people who worked for them for years. An anonymous source reported that they and many others were fired without any reason. Another report stated that because everyone is hired as an independent contractor, the business gets away without having to pay unemployment. The majority of ex-employees complained that the owner falsely accused them of something to justify not giving them unemployment or severance. We no longer recommend Greenpoint Seeds after all of the testimony we have  received over the past 3 years. We had a contact there for years and now we cannot get a single response. It is too late now. We have video conferenced with over 20 people easily in the last 90 days. We are done.

They are slowly going out of business. They have turned to sh*t over the past year and everything about them has changed for the worst. I don’t know exactly what gave them the idea to bring those stupid auctions back, but all it does was prove how crappy things have become for them. They can’t make it like they had been. So they brought the auctions back and got rid of the forums so nobody could speak their mind anymore. It is all controlled in Discord now, which they already used a few years ago and it didn’t work out, so they got rid of Discord. Now it’s back along with the auctions? C’mon. I wish I had the time to point out and explain everything. What I hate more than everything is their new web design.. Fire whoever built that thing!

    Pros

    • None to report.

    Cons

Don’t buy. The payment options they have for credit cards is a scam. Almost immediately after an order I received two charges from Mexico on my card and had to cancel my card I have had for 5 years and get a new one with a new number. When you add on this issue with the Native American tribe below, it just makes more and more sense. They got rid of their staff that basically held them together too? They’ve been spiraling for months. They are taking shortcuts. They lost their Instagram and tried to play it off like they did it on purpose for branding. Lies. I know someone who currently works there and they told me the workplace is a paranoid **** show. I know the whole story and they made a lot of stupid decisions last year. I was told they had to bring back the auctions to make ends meat. If you think about it, the reverse auctions are a joke. Just wait for a sale. The auctions are rigged anyway.

      Work Environment

For ‘Work Environment’ I rated the business staff. I rated everything as unbiased as possible. Even though I will miss Tank, I cannot say the seeds are not great when they’re great. I will admit that ever since they changed the website that the quality has diminished. There is too much going on. The website looks like it was recently hacked or something. There is random shortcode littered throughout the website either from a missing plugin or from code purposely injected into the website. I would check out as a Guest if I were you. I work on websites like these for a living as a marketing professional.

    Customer Opinion:

Tank really did make sure that there were never any issues like this. And he was one of a very few employees that were actually kind to me when I needed help.

The seeds from Greenpoint are awesome most of the time. More recently the quality has taken a hit. I was able to get a keeper out of two packs of feminized seeds, which wasn’t the case before. I used to get a keeper out of each pack, where they were regs or fems. Now the quality of the seeds seems like they have gone way down. It seems like they aren’t letting the seeds fully mature like they used to and there are lots of small white-colored seeds in the packs. I should also mention that just because the seeds are small or white, doesn’t mean they won’t germ, it just means they are less likely to. I did have a pack that didn’t have any seeds that would germinate, and Gene sent me a replacement pack that pack was better, but still lacked what I used to expect from Greenpoint Seeds. I have been getting a lot of stretchy plants lately. And it’s not just me.

    More Isn’t Always Better:

I have had a harder time contacting them since they added so many support channels. If they had someone to handle each channel instead of stretching Gene across all the channels, I think the customer support would be even better. One of the channels required I install software and that’s not something I believe I should have to do for customer support. Nevertheless, the support has always been good when it was Gene or Tank.

I do not support or promote any of their past seed pack namings and I hope that they will make things right with the Natives.

I was excited about the auctions coming back but I was thinking about it and I believe the sales they had before were better. Bringing back the auctions has made me think they aren’t doing very well. In the past, the auctions were available all the time until they had that streak of huge presence they rode for the past 4 years.

    Professional Opinion:

I saw a recent spike in their Alexa numbers, but they are still down from their drop of almost 500,000 spots in ranking and have only increased by 10,000 since their drop last year. I think the quality of seeds is why they’ve dropped so low. The content is always on point, but as time passes on, their SEO is becoming more and more obsolete. It will continue to take a dive. I couldn’t even find them the other day when searching for a pack of seeds by name. Instead, a Tumblr account showed up?

    Pros

    • Seeds, Genetics, Customer Support, Shipping Speed, Payments

    Cons

    • Lack of website attention to detail, concentrating on the wrong areas for improvement, discord, website, white and small seeds, germination rates, Native American thing

I’ve purchase around 35 packs from GPS. Most were mediocre. The photoperiod plants with the Stardawg male were OK, but nothing special. They also had very high male/female ratio that I’ve not seen in any other lines. I germinated 16 Copper Chem seeds and ended up with only 2 females. I germinated 30 Cookies and Chem and ended up with only 4 females. Same with Hibernate, Tomahawk, Texas Butter, Cali Cannon, Eagle Scout, and Pebble Pusher.
The feminized lines were all over the map. Poor germ rates with lots of herms.
We do large seed hunts in our greenhouses and GPS was one of our worst investments.
And to add injury to insult, our credit card information was compromised. Our bank alerted us to a $1700 purchase in London for shoes and another for $900 in Apple products. When I brought this to their attention, I was told that “buying drugs is illegal”. They accepted no responsibility and only offered a snarky response.
The only way this company stays in business in through slick marketing and deceptive practices, as can be seen above by the obvious shill reviews.

    Pros

    Cons

    • *Lots of Hermies
    • Mediocre plants

    • Lots of intersex expressions with the feminized line
    • High male to female ratio with regular line

I like to sleep at night. Seed banks like GreenPoint Seeds are one of the seed banks that make sleeping impossible. There are a number if chucker seed banks out there. There are a good amount of seed banks out there that also sell seeds (like seeds here now) that sell the seeds straight from the breeder so they can get rewarded for their work. And you know what? Most of the prices aren’t that different.

    GREENPOINT SEEDS WAS HACKED

Did you know that if you were a customer as GreenPoint Seeds ever, up until December of last year, that your information was leaked into the dark web? I’m sure you didn’t know. Because GreenPoint Seeds didn’t tell anyone. I saw a fake site put up by whoever bought the data and I was able to sign into my old account in this fake website. How did it know my username and password? Why was all my information listed in the account when I logged in? Because someone took down the whole website and stole all your private info. Some don’t care, but some would be pissed if they knew. Some of you are paranoid AF. And that’s a good thing. Well, your anonymity has been broken and your address and telephone number and credit cards are now in the hands of some random team if hackers. Mine too. So thanks GreenPoint!

Now it’s a fact that the chucker banks have a high number of nanners and other problems. This is because the chuckers don’t test like they should. While the breeders test and test and have done so for years.

You can buy breeder seeds from a real seed bank and chuck them for yourself. That’s the beauty of buying the seeds from the actual breeder. And you can sell the buds from whatever you make from chucking or straight from the seeds.

You could make the same seeds as the chuckers for around the same price, it would just take a little elbow grease.

For the people that don’t care, they’ve never created something just to have it taken from them and had to sit by and watch others make millions off your genetics. Some of the strains us breeders bring to the table have been in our families for generations. You don’t think we deserve to make $5 off a pack of seeds we’ve had to hide and keep under the radar? Some of these seeds we’ve had to do time for. When you’re smoking bud, most don’t think about the history and everything that had to happen to bring you that strain.

JJ-NYC doesn’t hate on chuckers like he used to because he’s tired of trying to track down everyone using his work. I know he still feels the same way about people profiting off his work, especially when he officially stated that he didn’t care what people did with his gear as long as they didn’t sell the his strains. That’s all he asked for. Greenpoint can’t even respect the man’s wishes. Every so often, you’ll see a pack of Stardawg for sale or Stardawg F2’s. They’re already using his strains to make most of their gear and they can’t abide by the one thing he asked for?

GreenPoint used to have someone who served as a buffer and spoke for them when they’d pull stunts like this. And as much as I hated that guy too, at least he answered for them. Now that he’s gone, it’s just the owner and you know you can’t reason with that guy. For all you buying seeds at GPS, you don’t interact with the owner. And if you did, like most who have, you’d never go there again. The purple working there might be nice, but the one driving around in fancy cars and spending all that money you give them, he’s the one that is impossible to deal with. If you’re lucky, you maybe had an encounter with him on a good day and that was it. I don’t know anyone who has had to deal with him more than a few times that cam say anything nice about him. Most of their customers that walk are usually involved in a scenario involving the owner.

You how hard it is to make money off seeds when you sell them honorably? You have to sell a lot. Just like with a book. Writing one is a pain. But it’s easy to copy all the pages and resell the book.. When you buy chucked seeds, all the money goes to the chucker. Real seed banks only get a cut and the rest goes to the breeder. If it’s too easy to make money off of, it’s probably not right. If it was, everyone would be doing it. And many are and only because breeders aren’t yet protected like almost all other things on this planet.

The time will come when chuckers can no longer sell seeds. The time will come. It’s already in the works. When that time comes, all these third rate seed banks will be pushed underground and will only be operable on the dark web. Chucking and selling seeds will become a crime. It can’t come sooner enough. And all the chuckers selling seeds without paying their dues are gonna be at the feet of the breeders. Begging them to let them continue on selling their genetics. And the breeders are going to tell them to eat a d*ck. Then they’ll have to get real jobs.

The thought of this playing out is the one thing that brings me any sort of joy these days. And the laws are changing soon. I would give these chuckers another year or so. Max. After that, they’ll have to figure out another way to make money. It’s been in the news. Even the government thinks it’s wrong to sell chucked seeds.

Put that in a joint and smoke it.

    Pros

    • They don't pay their dues to the breeders
    • They're thieves

Rip off! Rude! Annoying marketing emails and texts! Screw Greenpoint Seeds! Keep your distance from this seed bank. Boycott these guys and don’t buy from them. I can’t believe what they get away with. Shut them down. But your seeds from the actual breeders and support the original breeders. It makes me sick how people like this get away with stealing like this.

You cannot hire independent contractors for a year unless there are very specific circumstances around the type of work. Unless you are working as an independent contractor and all of your work is managed and controlled by the contractor, the employer must pay taxes on you as an “employee”. The employer here is saving tens of thousands of dollars paying you as an independent contractor so they don’t have to pay taxes or unemployment or benefits for you. Fortunately, that is illegal these days and it’s illegal in both Colorado and Florida. If your employer is making you work and has control over when you work and is giving you projects and assignments to complete every week, they must pay you as an employee. You can still get paid a salary, but the employer must pay you as an employee. Call an attorney immediately because you are not liable for the taxes you have been paying every year. Your employer screwed you.

I was always under the notion that there seeds were done in collaboration with the other breeders. i was unaware they were selling chucked seeds without permission. for years i have bought seeds from them almost every month and i used to engage in there reverse auctions all the time. i didnt know they were using genetics without permission. i cant even begin to explain how outraged i am at this. i have been payin higher prices than most seed banks for these seeds and recently recived many hermies on there fem line. i cant believe i was buying from them this whole time. no talent

WTF green point seeds?. I am not buying seeds til u put Tank back on IG. Tank was the only reason I shopped there. He was always there on ig to help me out and make things right every time you sent me bad seeds. No access to Tank = No Business from me or our breeders club. And we buy LOADS of seeds from you if you put all our accounts together. Not sure if he is in a different department or what, but you need to put him back on IG. I am being serious.

Tank is no longer with Greenpoint Seeds. He is still working in seed banks, just not for any single one at the moment. He is still in his cruising phase. The last we heard, he was working for Google and working with seed banks in his spare time. He has so much data and time in seed banks that it would be stupid for him to do anything else. There are plenty of other seed banks out there that would kill to have him. He will resurface at another seed bank soon (based on his previous jobs). I don’t get why he wasted so much time at GPS, to begin with. Everything he touches turns to gold. He has always been too trustworthy and too (too) nice. Donated a year of his time to one of the bigger seedbanks, donated even more of his spare time, and invested in the most recent one. I have heard that this is no longer the case and that his recent dealings in the seed bank industry have made him bitter. I would be too if I were him. He was never someone you really wanted to mess with on a personal level, but in business, he was always professional. I know he kept a fine line between business and personal life, but everyone, including Tank Shake, can only hold the line for so long when being used and abused by clients. Especially these overnight success seed banks ran by ex-low-level pot dealers and others who have no business background. Anyone who can grow a plant could open a shop like this and learn on the fly. Which is how most of these seed banks operate. You bring in a heavy hitter from the real industry like Tank Shake and they get treated no differently than anyone else. The tough ones like Tank will make their rounds and the owners will hold onto what they learned and expect it carries on into the years, but it doesn’t. It’s idiocracy at its finest. Respect.

Screw TrustPilot! Chucker’s Paradise is half-owned by Greenpoint Seeds (I heard the idiot paid $10k to half own a $100 blog) and all the other review websites offer payment in exchange for review removals. Some were even built by the seed banks themselves to make themselves look good. I have never bought anything from Greenpoint Seeds because they are not following the breeder code of conduct. They are racists and use Native American names for their strains on top of everything else. Plus, they lost the only guy they could trust and if they would have just given the guy some time off, he’d be crushing it. Which he now is. I hired him recently and he already bypassed GPS by two spots with my seed bank. I spent a lot of time making some of the strains you stole from me and sold in your shop. Did I ever get a percentage? No? Not even a thank you. And then you post fake pictures of my genetics and confuse everyone. f***k you. B**chpoint Seeds are thieves and if you buy from them, you are just as bad.

    Pros

    • - That the truth is finally coming out
    • - People are finally speaking up

    Cons

    • - Stealing genetics without permission and making money off our hard work
    • - Acting like a spoiled brat
    • - Seeds are crap quality. They replace more seeds than anyone else
    • - Unless you like your females with balls, go elsewhere
    • - The Greenpoint era is coming to an end no matter what they do
    • anyone can cross 2 awesome strains and sell them and the reason they don't is that its not right

  • Go to a real seed bank. Sorry, but I thought this was a seed bank lol. No offense, the website is beautiful, but I was looking for seeds. I guess I could go through the reviews and find a seed bank. Oh okay, I get it now.. you need some more pictures. Here is some OG Kush I bought from Seeds here now.

  • These designs on Seed Bank Magazine is incredible. Whoever thought up having a seed bank reviews site that actually looks nice and works, is a genius for real. Great work y’all 🙌💯 I dunno about Greenpoint Seeds though. I don’t buy from chuckers. JJ-NYC would not be cool with what they did.

Greenpoint seeds has the best cannabis seeds and strains out of all the other seed banks in the usa. They have the best prices, genetics, customer service and shipping. I recently grew out tombstone and it has become our new favorite strain at our dispensary. The difference between greenpoint seeds and the others is that greenpoints strains are already worked and prefected. You can find a gem in almost every pack of regs or get a pack of fems and get 6 sticky, frosty, terpy females to grow.

You might remember greenpoint seeds not having the best customer support back in the day.

    No longer the case!

Gu could be a little rough sometimes and it was almost impossible to get an email reply from anyone. They didn’t have the staff to handle the number of customers they had. It seemed like anytime I got a response was one in 100. And as hard as Gu tried he just wasnt a customer service person if you know what I mean.

Now Greenpoint Seeds has a full-time customer support team. The customer support manager is Jeanne and she is the best customer service person at any seed bank I have ever used.

Thank you for leaving these reviews. I made 5 purchased based on these reviews and I am more than happy with the results. I read these back in January and made a few purchases and then started growing rhem our indoors immediately. The results are stellar! They just came out with feminized seeds too and I cannot wait to get my hands on some of Greenpoints feminized genetics. Thank you seed bank magazine.
Loving the website design. It looked great before the latest update to the logo and looks just as good with the newer additions of graphics. Personally, I prefer more basic and clean layouts like the original logo and strain pictures. But I like the new ones too.
I don’t like the new news slider thing in white. It is harder to catch when I am on the site. Change it back to the black one. Stick with green, black, white, gold, blue for your brand. It is unique to Greenpoint and I like it.

Wish I could post strain images of my grow here 🙂 🤞

Will you dudes offer autoflower strains anytime soon?

    Pros

    • Website is better than any other seed bank in the usa.
    • Best payment options.
    • Best customer service.
    • Best shipping speed.
    • Best discreetness.
    • Best packaging.
    • Best genetics.
    • Feminized seeds.

    Cons

    • Used to be lack of new weed strains, but not anymore.

    • Please start selling some autoflower strains. That would make everything perfect and there would be no reason for anyone to go anywhere else to buy cannabis seeds. Know what I mean? Adding autoflowering seeds to the feminized seeds you just dropped would make gps the best seed bank in the world 🌐

love these genetics. some of the best stardawg generics in the world. i love their copper chem stardawg cross and their cookies n chem. super frosty budz and heady smoke. dripping in trichomes.

wish they would come out with some new crosses. i have already got all the crosses they have and then some. i don’t need 3 or 100 packs of the same cross but if i can catch them on the bid system for less than $10 then i will buy a pack. already grown out every cross.

prices are pretty steep. most breeders sell for around $65 a pack. greenpoint has gone up alot over the past couple of years. they are worth the $89 but so are many of the other breeders who only sell their packs for $60-$65.

greenpoint needs a new male. they need more than just stardawg seeds.

still the best genetics and seeds in the usa. i have tried them all.

    Pros

    • love website design
    • love stardawg

    Cons

    • steep prices
    • no new crosses
    • no new males

  • Best USA seed bank I used so far

    (4.5)

Tried 17 packs so far and every strain has been awesome and every pack is a pheno hunters dream come true, always a nice variety to pick from. Awesome deals on sales and reverse auction paid as little as $15 for a 10 pack with 12 in it. I Like their photo contest forum. Always comes fast 3 days from order on average. Honest description of strains. Only a medical patient with production limits or I would have every seed in the gps collection. Would and do recommend to friends and fellow card holders in new mexico. Most dispensaries carry at less one strain in Albuquerque and it’s easy to see why. In the works of opening a licensed non profit producer company when state permits open up and will be ordering in bulk from them they so good.

    Pros

    • Easy to use website
    • Fast shipping and delivery
    • Great customer service
    • Good description of strains
    • Awesome reverse auction and sales
    • Good variety of strains for one breeder
    • Great products
    • Several phenotypes in every pack so far

    Cons

    • Only one breeder rarely other breeders sold
    • One hick up on s1 release but was fixed for me
    • Wish Gu would start some other males for crosses and that's it!!!

  • The Best Seed Company

    (4.9)

I have made about 25 to 30 orders over quite some period of time, and I have only had a few very minor issues that were corrected ASAP (mostly my fault but GPS stood behind me anyway). The genetics are outstanding and the quality of the finished smoke is unrivaled. After smoking for more than 45 years, GPS varieties are the best I have ever smoked by far. The only seed company I would recommend for everyone’s needs.

    Pros

    • Great Customer Service
    • The Best Elite Genetics Anywhere
    • Fast Shipping
    • Photo Contests
    • Fair Pricing
    • Reverse Auctions
